Tortosa is the capital of the comarca of Baix Ebre, in Catalonia, Spain.Tortosa is located at 12m above sea level, by the Ebro river, protected on its northern side by the mountains of the Cardó Massif, of which Buinaca, one of the highest peaks, is located within Tortosa's municipal term.Before Tortosa, across the river, rise the massive Ports de Tortosa-Beseit mountains. Explore Tortosa's surroundings by going to Playa La Punta del Fangar (in Deltebre), Centre d'Interpretacio les barraques del Delta (in Sant Jaume d'Enveja) and GR 99 Camino Natural del Ebro (in Riumar). There's much more to do: head outdoors with MonNatura Delta de l'Ebre, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Montsianell, stroll around Parc Natural del Delta de l'Ebre, and stroll through La Foradada.

Known for its Mediterranean climate and vibrant beach community, Salou serves as the tourist capital of the Costa Dorada.
Get out of town with these interesting Salou side-trips: Iglesia de la Purisima Sangre (in Alcover), Sangenis i Vaque (in Porrera) and Gratallops (Celler Devinssi & Clos Mogador).
