Proud of their hometown's distinct culture and dialect, many natives of Osaka describe their city as "Japan's anti-capital." An antidote to Tokyo's hectic energy, Osaka marches to the beat of its own drum, serving as the country's longtime commercial and industrial hub.
On the 2nd (Tue), take in the exciting artwork at Hankyu Umeda Gallery. Here are some ideas for day two: step into the grandiose world of Osaka Castle, ponder the world of politics at Mint Museum, thensee the interesting displays at Cup Noodle Museum Osaka Ikeda, and finally get a taste of the local shopping with Dotombori District.
