Pilgrims and aviators come to Narita, a town known during the Edo period for its temple, and now known primarily for its airport.
Start off your visit on the 28th (Wed): steep yourself in history at Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Dakini Tendo (Shusse Inari), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Gaku-do, then admire the landmark architecture of Shaka-do, then steep yourself in history at Seiso Densha 1st and 2nd Tunnel, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Namegawasan Ryushoin Temple.

Gold Coast, Australia to Narita is an approximately 12-hour combination of flight and train. You can also do a combination of train and flight. The time zone difference moving from Australian Eastern Standard Time (Queensland) (AEST) to Japan Standard Time (JST) is minus 1 hour. While traveling from Gold Coast, expect somewhat warmer days and warmer nights in Narita, ranging from highs of 35°C to lows of 26°C.
