Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Pitti Palace and Piazzale Michelangelo. For shopping fun, head to Chianti Cashmere Goat Farm or La Fabbrica delle Candele. Venture out of the city with trips to Siena (Piazza del Campo & Bianco e Nero di Sonia Staccioli ), Guardastelle Vineyard (in San Gimignano) and Fattoria Casaloste (in Panzano in Chianti). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Galleria dell'Accademia, admire the masterpieces at Uffizi Galleries, take an in-depth tour of Basilica di Santa Croce, and take in panoramic vistas at Campanile di Giotto.

Venice to Florence is an approximately 2.5-hour train ride. You can also drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 33°C in June, and nighttime lows around 21°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 12th (Tue) to allow time to take a train to Rome.

Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
On the 12th (Tue), stop by Elena Kihlman Designer Shop and then don't miss a visit to St. Peter's Basilica. On the next day, look for gifts at Antica Caciara Trasteverina, then take a stroll through Trastevere, then stroll through Sabbianera Super Beach, and finally stroll through MOAI Beach.

You can take a train from Florence to Rome in 1.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or fly. In June in Rome, expect temperatures between 34°C during the day and 21°C at night. You will have some time to spend on the 14th (Thu) before leaving for Positano.

Often referred to as the gem of the Amalfi Coast, Positano remains one of southern Italy's most sought-after vacation locales, thanks to its hillside location and picturesque, pastel buildings.
Head to Ceramiche d'Arte Carmela and Theodora Moda Positanofor some retail therapy. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Villa Cimbrone Gardens and Duomo di Sant'Andrea. Explore Positano's surroundings by going to Gli Scavi Archeologici di Pompei (in Pompeii), Amalfi (Museo della Carta & Wine Tours & Tastings) and Ravello (Ceramiche Cosmolena di Margherita di Palma & Villa Rufolo).
