Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Basilica di San Pietro in Vincoli and Cascata delle Marmore. Vatican Museums and Stanze di Raffaello will appeal to museum buffs. Go for a jaunt from Rome to Orvieto to see Duomo di Orvieto about 1h 30 min away. And it doesn't end there: delve into the distant past at Colosseum, make a trip to Piazza Navona, take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Peter's Basilica, and steep yourself in history at Palatine Hill.

Singapore, Singapore to Rome is an approximately 17-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
On the 30th (Mon), step into the grandiose world of Castello Sforzesco, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza del Duomo, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Milano, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Chiesa di San Bernardino alle Ossa. On the 31st (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Sant'Eustorgio, see the interesting displays at Museo del Novecento, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Chiesa di Santa Maria presso San Satiro, then see the interesting displays at Gallerie d’Italia, and finally admire the masterpieces at Bagatti Valsecchi Museum.
