Although the surrounding area continues to depend on agriculture, Sainte-Anne thrives largely thanks to tourism, offering visitors modern infrastructure and plenty of chances to experience the authentic local lifestyle.
Venture out of the city with trips to Sainte Rose (Ilet Caret & Scuba & Snorkeling) and Pointe des Chateaux (in Saint Francois). There's much more to do: kick back and relax at Plage de Bois Jolan, stroll through St. Anne Beach, take in the dramatic natural features at Porte d'Enfer, and stop by David Vanille et Epices - Mamie Christiane.
