Glacier National Park

Crown of the Continent

The glaciers from which Glacier National Park takes its name mostly dissipated eons ago, but they left behind a scoured landscape of high and steep mountain peaks, sparkling lakes, lush alpine meadows, and thick forests.
Get in touch with nature at Going-to-the-Sun Road and Grinnell Glacier. Change things up with a short trip to The Polebridge Mercantile in Polebridge (about 40 minutes away). Spend the 17th (Tue) exploring nature at Red Rock Falls, Glacier National Park. There's still lots to do: admire the sheer force of St.Mary Falls, appreciate the views at Logan Pass, trek along Swiftcurrent Falls, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Trail of the Cedars.

Visiting Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and Grand Prismatic Spring will get you outdoors. Venture out of the city with trips to Yellowstone National Park (North Rim Trail, Uncle Tom's Trail, &more). And it doesn't end there: identify plant and animal life at Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, cast your line with a fishing tour, and stop by Eagle's Store.
