Honfleur is a town surrounding a beautiful little 17th-century harbor in Lower Normandy.
Family-friendly places like Plage de Mers les Bains and Deauville Beach will thrill your kids. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Scuba & Snorkeling and Notre Dame de Grace. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Honfleur: Le Fleuve La Veules (in Veules-les-Roses) and Vue panoramique (in Le Treport). Kick off your visit on the 23rd (Wed): test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms, then see the interesting displays at Airborne Museum, and then meet the residents at Zoo de Champrepus. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 24th (Thu): stroll the grounds of Cimetiere Militaire Allemand de La Cambe, get engrossed in the history at Pegasus Memorial, snap pictures at Pegasus Bridge, then get to know the resident critters at Zoo de Jurques, and finally take in nature's colorful creations at La Colline aux Oiseaux.

Falaise is a town (population 9,000) on the Ante River in the French region of Lower Normandy, famous as the birthplace of William the Conquerer and the scene of the fierce fighting of August 1944 associated with the Allied "breakout" from the "Falaise pocket" that built up after the D-Day landings, to drive towards Paris during the Western campaign against the German occupation.

In August 1944, two German armies were encircled and destroyed by the British 2nd Army in their attempt to breakout of the "Falaise pocket" (also known as the "Falaise gap").
On the 28th (Mon), look for all kinds of wild species at La Roche d'Oetre, see the interesting displays at Automates Avenue, and then step into the grandiose world of Chateau Guillaume-le-Conquerant.
