Start off your visit on the 10th (Wed): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. John's Co-Cathedral, then steep yourself in history at Lascaris War Rooms, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Mdina Old City, and finally steep yourself in history at St Mary's Chapel. On the 11th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: browse the exhibits of Saluting Battery, then wander the streets of Spinola Bay, and then delve into the distant past at Hagar Qim Temples.

You can fly from Valletta to Rethymnon in 8.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and bus. The time zone difference when traveling from Valletta to Rethymnon is 1 hour.
