Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Vatican Museums and Galleria Borghese. Do some cultural sightseeing at Palatine Hill and Piazza Navona. And it doesn't end there: steep yourself in history at Colosseum, admire the local landmark of Trevi Fountain, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio di Loyola, and get engrossed in the history at Musei Capitolini.

New Delhi, India to Rome is an approximately 11.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. You'll gain 4 hours traveling from New Delhi to Rome due to the time zone difference. Traveling from New Delhi in April, expect Rome to be cooler, temps between 24°C and 11°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Fri) early enough to catch the train to Florence.

Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
On the 9th (Mon), admire the landmark architecture of Porta della Carta, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di San Marco, then contemplate the waterfront views at Canal Grande, and finally snap pictures at Ponte di Rialto. Keep things going the next day: appreciate the extensive heritage of Campo del Ghetto, then see the interesting displays at Museo Ebraico di Venezia, then take in the views from Ponte dei Sospiri, and finally get to know the fascinating history of St. Mark's Square.
