Ioannina ©
Ioannina, often called Yannena within Greece, is the capital and largest city of Epirus, an administrative region in north-western Greece. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Ioannina: Folk Art Museum Tossizza Mansion (in Metsovo), Stone Forest (in Monodendri) and Papingo Rock Pools (in Papigko). There's lots more to do: fly down the slopes at Alpine Zone, explore the historical opulence of Ioannina Castle, steep yourself in history at Kehila Kedosha Yashan Synagogue, and examine the collection at Silversmithing Museum.

To see where to stay, other places to visit, more things to do, and tourist information, read Ioannina road trip planning app.

Melbourne, Australia to Ioannina is an approximately 31-hour combination of flight and car. The time zone difference moving from Australian Eastern Standard Time (Victoria) (AEST) to Eastern European Time (EET) is minus 8 hours. While traveling from Melbourne, expect a bit warmer days and much warmer nights in Ioannina, ranging from highs of 32°C to lows of 21°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Wed) so you can go by car to Parga.

Most visitors to Parga come because of the Ionian coastline's verdant landscape and traditional character.

There's lots more to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Acheron, kick back and relax at Alonaki Fanariou Beach, explore the historical opulence of Venetian Castle of Parga, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Ammoudia Beach.
