The capital of Dutch industrial design, Eindhoven is known as the "City of Light." This is thanks to the technology company, Phillips, which has its base here and hosts many light projects in buildings around the city.
Step off the beaten path and head to PreHistorisch Dorp and Philips Stadion. Slot Loevestein and Grote Kerk will appeal to history buffs. Explore Eindhoven's surroundings by going to UNESCO World Heritage Kinderdijk (in Kinderdijk), Overloon War Museum (in Overloon) and Stadhuis Venlo (in Venlo). Spend the 8th (Mon) exploring nature at National Park de Loonse en Drunense Duinen. Spend the 6th (Sat) exploring nature at National Park de Meinweg. And it doesn't end there: explore the different monuments and memorials at Netherlands American Cemetery, get to know the fascinating history of Kasteeltuinen Arcen, take an in-depth tour of Nationaal Monument Kamp Vught, and sample the fine beverages at Bottle Distillery.

If you are flying in from India, the closest major airports are Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Eindhoven Airport and Maastricht Aachen Airport. In June, plan for daily highs up to 26°C, and evening lows to 13°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 11th (Thu) so you can travel back home.
