The capital of Dutch industrial design, Eindhoven is known as the "City of Light." This is thanks to the technology company, Phillips, which has its base here and hosts many light projects in buildings around the city.
Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Museum De Locht and preHistorisch Dorp. Eynderhoof Limburgs Openluchtmuseum and Nationaal Monument Kamp Vught will appeal to museum buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to St Michaelskerk (Abbey Church) (in Thorn), Fort Sint Pieter (in Maastricht) and Netherlands American Cemetery (in Margraten). Spend the 7th (Sun) exploring nature at National Park de Loonse en Drunense Duinen. The adventure continues: contemplate the long history of De Wonderlijke Klim, pause for some serene contemplation at Grote Kerk, stroll through Kasteeltuinen Arcen, and head outdoors with Philips Stadion.

For more things to do, photos, where to stay, and other tourist information, go to the Eindhoven online trip maker .

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major airports are Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Eindhoven Airport and Maastricht Aachen Airport. In June, daily temperatures in Eindhoven can reach 72°F, while at night they dip to 52°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 8th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
