Get out of town with these interesting Cairo side-trips: Giza (Pyramids of Giza & Great Sphinx) and Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids (in Saqqara). Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to Cairo is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of ferry and taxi. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Jeddah to Cairo. Kick off your visit on the 19th (Tue): browse the different shops at Senzo Mall, test the waters at Planet Spa at Baron Palace Resort Sahl Hasheesh, then look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas, and finally stop by Evolution Egypt. Traveling by bus from Luxor to Hurghada takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. Traveling from Luxor in January, Hurghada is somewhat warmer at night with lows of 13°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 20th (Wed) early enough to travel to Dahab.
