A global center of finance and transportation, Frankfurt is perhaps best known for its futuristic cityscape.
Kick off your visit on the 12th (Thu): steep yourself in history at Old Nicholas Church (Alte Nikolaikirche), admire the masterpieces at Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt, explore the world behind art at Staedel Museum, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral of St. Bartholomew (Dom St. Bartholomaus), then see the interesting displays at Dialog Museum, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Dreikonigskirche.

Experience an authentic Adriatic lifestyle in Split, the largest city along the sea's coast.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Diocletian's Palace and Putalj Winery. We've included these beaches for you: Punta Rata Beach and Velika Raduca Beach. Venture out of the city with trips to Sokolarski Raptor Centre (in Sibenik), Hilltop 15th Century Church of St. George in Old Town Primosten (in Primosten) and Omis (Fortress Starigrad (Fortica) & Omis and Cetina River). There's much more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Cathedral of Saint Domnius, get engrossed in the history at Etnografski muzej Split, and steep yourself in history at Old Split.

Traveling by flight from Frankfurt to Split takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and car. Plan for a bit warmer temperatures traveling from Frankfurt in September, with highs in Split at 79°F and lows at 61°F. You'll have a few hours on the 16th (Mon) to wrap things up before traveling to Hvar.

The Croatian island of Hvar serves as a picturesque location for a Mediterranean holiday, with a range of offerings from quiet coves to a lively medieval town.
Get a sense of the local culture at Spanjola and St. Stephen's Cathedral. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Pakleni Otoci and The Church of St Stephen. There's lots more to do: step off the mainland to explore Jerolim Island, tour the pleasant surroundings at Dubovica, wander the streets of Milna, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Franciscan Monastery.

Traveling by car from Split to Hvar takes 1.5 hours. In September, daily temperatures in Hvar can reach 80°F, while at night they dip to 65°F. You will have some time to spend on the 19th (Thu) before leaving for Dubrovnik.

Along the Dalmation Coast, the city of Dubrovnik has become famous for its pedestrian-only Old Town surrounded by fortress walls, and its historical heft has earned it World Heritage Site status.
Get in touch with nature at Island of Lokrum and Kolocep Island. Visit Walls of Dubrovnik and Church of Saint Blaise for their historical value. Take a break from Dubrovnik with a short trip to Cavtat Old Town in Cavtat, about 34 minutes away. There's still lots to do: get to know the fascinating history of Brsalje Street, pause for some serene contemplation at Church of Our Lady of the Snow, browse the exhibits of Vlaho Bukovac House, and take a stroll through Old Town.

Getting from Hvar to Dubrovnik by ferry takes about 4 hours. Other options: do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of ferry and bus. In September in Dubrovnik, expect temperatures between 77°F during the day and 63°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Mon) so you can travel back home.
