Nestled in the verdant foothills of Mount Meru, Arusha remains the primary gateway and jump-off point for safaris into several national parks.
Access2Tanzania has been added to your itinerary. Venture out of the city with trips to Food Tours (in Mto wa Mbu), Arusha National Park (Arusha National Park & Mt Meru) and Kikuletwa Hotsprings (in Moshi). Spend the 4th (Wed) floating through the air with a balloon tour. Next up on the itinerary: see the sights as you ascend with a climbing tour, see the interesting displays at Cultural Heritage Centre, hit the best photo ops around with an inspiring photography tour, and head outdoors with Outdoor Activities.

To see more things to do, ratings, photos, and more tourist information, read our Arusha sightseeing app .

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major airport is Kilimanjaro International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 79°F in November, and nighttime lows around 62°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Sat) to allow time to travel back home.
