City of Light

A modern metropolis of glassy skyscrapers, waterside boulevards, and lush residential neighborhoods, Perth sits on the edge of the Swan Coastal Plain.

Step out of Perth to go to Fremantle and see Fremantle Prison, which is approximately 32 minutes away. There's still lots to do: stroll around Kings Park and Botanic Garden, kick back and relax at Cottesloe Beach, tour the pleasant surroundings at Scarborough Beach, and steep yourself in history at The Perth Mint.

The Route module can give you travel options from your home to Perth. Expect a daytime high around 38°C in January, and nighttime lows around 20°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Wed) so you can go by car to Margaret River.
