12 days in Vrindavan & Jaipur Itinerary

The holy town of Vrindavan marks the place where the Hindu deity Krishna is said to have spent his childhood.

Kids will enjoy Prem Mandir - Shyama Shyam Dham and Radha Damodar Temple. There's much more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Banke Bihari Temple, take in the pleasant sights at Akshaya Patra, and don't miss a visit to Mata Vaishno Devi Dham.

Kolkata (Calcutta) to Vrindavan is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and taxi. In April, plan for daily highs up to 45°C, and evening lows to 29°C. On the 6th (Tue), you're off to Jaipur.

Known as the "Pink City" because of the color of the stone used for many of its notable structures, Jaipur draws visitors with its chaotic street life and a slew of colorful bazaars selling everything from handmade pottery to tie-dye scarves.

Bring the kids along to Jantar Mantar - Jaipur and Amber Palace. Spend the 8th (Thu) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. The adventure continues: take an in-depth tour of City Palace of Jaipur, relax in the rural setting at Ele Experience Farm, steep yourself in history at Jaigarh Fort, and make a trip to Monkey Temple.

Traveling by car from Vrindavan to Jaipur takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 44°C in April, and nighttime lows around 27°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
