The relaxing hilltop village of Ella benefits from a more temperate climate than much of the rest of country thanks to its high elevation.
Get in touch with nature at Little Adam's Peak and Ella Rock. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Honey Bee Garden and Diyaluma Falls. And it doesn't end there: look for gifts at R. M. S Antique And Brassware, indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas, trek along Mini Adams Peak, and take in the views from Nine Arches Bridge.

Palm-fringed beaches with golden sand, turquoise water, and a colorful coral reef are enough to draw any beachgoer to Unawatuna, but there's plenty to do off the beach here as well.
Get outdoors at Jungle Beach and Beruwala Beach. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Ahungalla Beach and Narigama Beach. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Unawatuna: Bentota (Bentota Beach & Dolphin & Whale Watching) and Victor Hasselblad Sea Turtle Research & Conservation Center (in Kosgoda). The adventure continues: stroll through Mihiripenna Beach, soothe aching muscles at some of the top local wellness centers, stop by Cara Jewellers, and discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour.

Tourism in Tissamaharama revolves around the town's vast historic and cultural heritage, with the surroundings of scenic paddy fields adding to the ambiance.
