Andalucía’s thousand-year-old city, Córdoba, was once the capital of both the Roman Empire and the Moorish Kingdom, representing an alluring mix of cultural and political history.
Start off your visit on the 19th (Sat): let your taste buds guide you at a local gastronomic tour, then contemplate the long history of Mezquita Cathedral de Cordoba, then get to know the fascinating history of Calleja del Panuelo, and finally make a trip to Puerta del Almodovar. Here are some ideas for day two: admire the landmark architecture of Zuheros, get a taste of life in the country at Entre Toros y Caballos, then admire the natural beauty at Tiered Gardens of The Alcazaba, then don't miss a visit to Cairuan Street, and finally examine the collection at Casa de las Cabezas- Patios de Leyenda.

Madrid to Cordoba is an approximately 2-hour train ride. You can also fly; or drive. Traveling from Madrid in October, you will find days in Cordoba are a bit warmer (32°C), and nights are about the same (16°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Sun) so you can take a train to Seville.

On the 21st (Mon), take in the spiritual surroundings of Catedral de Sevilla, don't miss a visit to Plaza de España, and then test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms. Here are some ideas for day two: take a stroll through Barrio Santa Cruz, contemplate the long history of Royal Tobacco Factory, then stroll through Royal Alcázar of Seville, and finally take in the views from Puente de Isabel II (Puente de Triana).
