Inverness, often described as the Gateway to the Highlands, is a thriving commercial and industrial center.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Landmark Forest Adventure Park and Rosemarkie Beach. Go for a jaunt from Inverness to Aviemore to see Loch Morlich about 54 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: indulge your taste buds at Food & Drink, take in the history at Battlefield Select Tours, steep yourself in history at Clava Cairns, and stroll through Ness Islands.

Billund, Denmark to Inverness is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of bus and train. The time zone changes from Central European Time to Greenwich Mean Time, which is usually a -1 hour difference. In July, plan for daily highs up to 22°C, and evening lows to 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 31st (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Durness.

Durness is a village and civil parish in the north-west Highlands of Scotland. You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Sandwood Bay Beach and Durness Beach. Get out of town with these interesting Durness side-trips: Achmelvich Beach (in Lochinver) and Kinlochbervie (Oldshoremore Beach & Polin Beach). Next up on the itinerary: kick back and relax at Balnakeil Beach, stop by Mudness Ceramics, and take in the exciting artwork at Balnakeil Craft Village.
