Your plan includes some of its best attractions: explore the historical opulence of Edinburgh Castle, don't miss a visit to The Royal Mile, contemplate the long history of Palace of Holyroodhouse, and enjoy breathtaking views from Camera Obscura and World of Illusions.

To find ratings, photos, more things to do, and tourist information, refer to the Edinburgh visit site.

Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. Venture out of the city with trips to Quad Bike Tours (in Newtonmore), Arisaig (Land Sea and Islands Centre & Camusdarach Beach) and Glenfinnan (Glenfinnan Viaduct & Glenfinnan Church). Next up on the itinerary: appreciate the views at Glen Coe, explore the activities along Loch Shiel, identify plant and animal life at Loch Linnhe Picnic Area, and get active on the water at Vertical Descents Scotland.
