Known worldwide for the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the city of Pisa historically served as a maritime power in the heart of Tuscany.
Visit Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and Centro Storico del Paese di Tellaro for their historical value. Florence Academy of Fine Arts and Piaggio Museum will appeal to museum buffs. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Pisa: Chiesa di San Giorgio (in Tellaro), Florence (Pitti Palace, Museo di Palazzo Davanzati, &more) and Castello di Lerici (in Lerici).
