Although not particularly touristy, the tranquil castle town of Okazaki charms visitors with its scenic parks, ornamental flower gardens, and forested areas.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Nakasendo Magome Walking Trail and Toyota Automobile Museum. You'll discover tucked-away gems like The Museum Meiji-mura and Nabana no Sato. Get out of town with these interesting Okazaki side-trips: Ayabe Utsuwatei (in Tajimi), Iwamura Castle Ruins (in Ena) and Naegi Castle Ruins (in Nakatsugawa). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Toyota Kaikan Museum, take in nature's colorful creations at Toyohashi General Botanical Garden, Non Hoi Park, contemplate the long history of Ueji Hachimangu, and revel in the low prices at Mitsui Outlet Park Jazz Dream Nagashima.

Singapore, Singapore to Okazaki is an approximately 11.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. The time zone difference moving from Singapore Time to Japan Standard Time is 1 hour. Traveling from Singapore in March, things will get much colder in Okazaki: highs are around 15°C and lows about 6°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 29th (Sun) early enough to travel to Osakasayama.

Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 31st (Tue): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Santo Shrine, steep yourself in history at Sayama Shrine, steep yourself in history at Yachuji Temple, steep yourself in history at Yoshimura Residence, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Shibagaki Shrine, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Nunose Shrine.

Traveling by car from Okazaki to Osakasayama takes 3 hours. Expect a daytime high around 16°C in March, and nighttime lows around 8°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 31st (Tue) to allow time to drive to Kyoto.

Drive from Osakasayama to Kyoto in 1.5 hours. Expect slightly colder evenings in Kyoto when traveling from Osakasayama in March, with lows around 5°C. On the 5th (Sun), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
