The coastal city of Stavanger ranks among Norway's top culinary destinations, its fine restaurants and food fairs an increasingly popular attraction with impassioned foodies from around the globe.
Norwegian Petroleum Museum and Vitengarden are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Sola Strand and Borestranden Beach. Step out of Stavanger to go to Orre and see Orre Beach, which is approximately 1 hour away. There's much more to do: appreciate the history behind Sverd i fjell, contemplate the long history of Old Stavanger, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Stavanger Cathedral.
