The largest and most populous city in New Zealand, Auckland combines a rich history and thriving contemporary culture in an abundance of museums, art galleries, and performance venues.
On the 11th (Sun), pause for some serene contemplation at St. Patrick's Cathedral. On your second day here, examine the collection at Auckland Museum, visit Parnell, and then take a stroll through Ponsonby.

If you are flying in from Vietnam, the closest major aiports are Auckland International Airport and Hamilton International Airport. In February in Auckland, expect temperatures between 26°C during the day and 26°C at night. You'll have a few hours on the 13th (Tue) to wrap things up before traveling to Paihia.

The main tourist town in the Bay of Islands area, Paihia gives visitors a good range of accommodations, a convenient town center, long sandy beaches, and interesting architecture.
Waitangi Treaty Grounds and Claphams Clocks - The National Clock Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Explore hidden gems such as Paihia Harbour and Town Basin. Take a break from Paihia with a short trip to Kiwi North - Kiwi House, Museum & Heritage Park in Whangarei, about 1h 5 min away. And it doesn't end there: see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour, and stop by Makana Chocolate Boutique.

Traveling by combination of taxi and flight from Paihia to Rotorua takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In February, daytime highs in Rotorua are 28°C, while nighttime lows are 19°C. On the 19th (Mon), you'll have the morning to explore before heading off to Wellington.

Wellington, the world's southernmost capital city and New Zealand's second most populous urban area, combines the nation's rugged history and nature with its modern and cosmopolitan present.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Old St Paul's and Yealands Estate Winery. Get some cultural insight at Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa and National War Memorial. There's much more to do: kick back and relax at Scorching Bay, tour the pleasant surroundings at Days Bay, get engrossed in the history at The Great War Exhibition, and look for gifts at The Chocolate Story.

Expect a bit cooler weather when traveling from Rotorua in February: highs in Wellington hover around 24°C, while lows dip to 17°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Thu) so you can travel back home.
