Comares is a town and municipality in the province of Málaga, part of the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. Take a break from the city and head to Playa de Maro and El Torcal de Antequera. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Chocolate Abuela ili and Bodega La Moralea. Change things up with these side-trips from Comares: Priego de Cordoba (Fuente del Rey & Fountain of Health), Villa Romana El Ruedo (in Almedinilla) and Fortaleza de la Mota (in Alcala la Real). There's much more to do: steep yourself in history at Dolmenes de Antequera, see the interesting displays at Archidona Municipal Museum, admire the masterpieces at C.A.C. Centro de Arte Contemporáneo Francisco Hernández, and pause for some serene contemplation at Colegiata de Santa Maria la Mayor.
