Founded in 1535 by Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro, Lima represents an interesting blend of modern attractions and preserved colonial architecture, much of it clustered in the World Heritage-listed city center.
Lima is known for historic sites, parks, and museums. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: take an in-depth tour of Museo Larco, shop like a local with Shopping Center Larcomar (Centro Comercial Larcomar), let your taste buds guide you at a local gastronomic tour, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Museo Convento San Francisco y Catacumbas.

Buenos Aires, Argentina to Lima is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 2 hours traveling from Buenos Aires to Lima. February in Lima sees daily highs of 32°C and lows of 24°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Fri) so you can travel to Mancora.

Mancora

In a busy little beach town, Mancora tourism industry continues to grow, largely thanks to the sunniest climate of any region in the country.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Mancora: Playa Lobitos (in Piura) and Mirador Cristo Petrolero (in Talara). And it doesn't end there: stroll through Las Pocitas Beach, see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Mancora, and make a trip to Puerto Velero.

Traveling by combination of flight and bus from Lima to Mancora takes 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. When traveling from Lima in February, plan for somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Mancora: temperatures range from 36°C by day to 28°C at night. On the 11th (Tue), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
