Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
Start off your visit on the 1st (Mon): glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, kick back and relax at Yonehara Beach, thenenjoy the sand and surf at Sukuji Beach, thencontemplate the waterfront views at Kabira Bay, and finally walk around Kabira Park. Here are some ideas for day two: take in panoramic vistas at Maesedake Observation Site and then paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour.
