In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
Kick off your visit on the 20th (Mon): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio. On the 21st (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: enjoy the sand and surf at Lido di Faggeto Miamilaryo, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Duomo di Milano, and then appreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza del Duomo.

Tbilisi, Georgia to Milan is an approximately 10-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and bus; or drive. The time zone changes from Georgia Time to Central European Time, which is usually a -3 hour difference. When traveling from Tbilisi in August, plan for slightly colder days and about the same nights in Milan: temperatures range from 34°C by day to 22°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Wed) to allow enough time to take a train to Cinque Terre.

Start off your visit on the 23rd (Thu): take a stroll around Vernazza, pause for some serene contemplation at Santa Margherita di Antiochia Church, then explore the historical opulence of Castello Doria, and finally kick back and relax at Beach Bar Stella Marina.

You can take a train from Milan to Cinque Terre in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. In August, plan for daily highs up to 35°C, and evening lows to 20°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Thu) early enough to drive to Florence.

Traveling by car from Cinque Terre to Florence takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train. August in Florence sees daily highs of 35°C and lows of 20°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 26th (Sun) early enough to take a train to Verona.
