Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Doge's Palace and Peggy Guggenheim Collection. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Piazza San Marco and Arena di Verona. There's lots more to do: explore the activities along Canal Grande, take in the views from Ponte dei Sospiri, admire the striking features of Basilica di San Marco, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Campo del Ghetto.

Montreal, Canada to Venice is an approximately 12-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to Central European Time (CET), which is usually a 6 hour difference. While traveling from Montreal, expect a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Venice, ranging from highs of 32°C to lows of 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Thu) so you can take a train to Florence.

Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
You'll explore and learn at Academy Of Florence Art Gallery and Church and Museum of Orsanmichele. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at M.G. Design and Art Gallery Studio Iguarnieri. Take a break from Florence with a short trip to Castello del Trebbio in Santa Brigida, about 36 minutes away. There's lots more to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, take in the spiritual surroundings of The Baptistery of St. John, and see the interesting displays at Pitti Palace.

You can take a train from Venice to Florence in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. June in Florence sees daily highs of 33°C and lows of 21°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 21st (Sun) so you can catch the train to Naples.

Naples is the capital of the Italian region Campania and the third-largest municipality in Italy after Rome and Milan. Start off your visit on the 22nd (Mon): do a tasting at Le Vigne di Raito and then enjoy the sand and surf at Marina Di Vietri. On the 23rd (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the exciting artwork at Sol’Art Ceramiche, get a taste of the local shopping with Ceramiche d'Arte Carmela, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Duomo di Ravello, then stop by Ceramiche Cosmolena di Margherita di Palma, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Cappella Sant'Angelo all'Ospedale.

Getting from Florence to Naples by train takes about 3 hours. Other options: do a combination of flight and train; or drive. In June, daily temperatures in Naples can reach 32°C, while at night they dip to 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Tue) early enough to take a train to Rome.

Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Visit Colosseum and Piazza Navona for their historical value. Vatican Museums and Galleria Borghese will appeal to museum buffs. The adventure continues: explore the ancient world of Pantheon, contemplate the long history of Palatine Hill, pause for some serene contemplation at Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio di Loyola, and don't miss a visit to Roman Forum.
