A picturesque city in the north of the country, Haifa combines history and appearances to create an interesting and relaxing destination.
Get outdoors at Sea of Galilee and Mount Tabor. Visit The Baha'i Gardens and Church of the Primacy of Peter for their historical value. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Haifa: Magdala (in Migdal), Capernaum (Church of the Multiplication & Mount of Beatitudes) and The Church of the Annunciation (in Nazareth). Getting from Haifa to Tel Aviv by train takes about an hour. Other options: drive; or take a bus. In September in Tel Aviv, expect temperatures between 86°F during the day and 76°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 15th (Sun) so you can catch the flight to Eilat.

At the northern extreme of the Red Sea sits Eilat, a resort town popular with domestic and international tourists.
Visiting Dolphin Reef and Scuba & Snorkeling will get you outdoors. You can fly from Tel Aviv to Eilat in an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. While traveling from Tel Aviv, expect a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Eilat, ranging from highs of 100°F to lows of 79°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Wed) to allow enough time to take a bus to Dimona.

Dimona is an Israeli city in the Negev desert, 36km to the south of Beersheba and 35km west of the Dead Sea above the Arava valley in the Southern District of Israel. On the 19th (Thu), admire the striking features of Masada Fortress, then stroll through Masada National Park, and then admire the masterpieces at Fine Art & Doll Museum.
