Auckland, New Zealand to Reykjavik is an approximately 27-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of flight and bus. You'll gain 12 hours traveling from Auckland to Reykjavik due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Auckland in July, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be slightly colder in Reykjavik, with lows of 10°C. Akureyri

Often referred to as Iceland's second city, Akureyri offers an array of cultural attractions in a scenic setting.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Wed): race across the water with a speed boat tour, then admire the natural beauty at Arctic Botanical Gardens (Lystigardurinn), and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Akureyrarkirkja. On the 23rd (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take an in-depth tour of The Old Farmhouse Laufas and then trot along with a tour on horseback.

You can fly from Reykjavik to Akureyri in an hour. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. In July, daytime highs in Akureyri are 16°C, while nighttime lows are 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Reykjahlid.

Hvolsvöllur is a small town in the south of Iceland about 106 km to the east of Reykjavík.It is situated in the inland swamps of Landeyjar, in the municipality of Rangárþing eystra and has, as of January 2015, 934 inhabitants.OverviewThe name of the town literally translates to "Hillfield". Kick off your visit on the 26th (Sun): take in the dramatic scenery at Gljufrabui Waterfalls, admire the sheer force of Gluggafoss/Merkjarfoss, then take a pleasant ride with a tour on horseback, and finally learn more about the world around you at Lava Centre.
