Kick off your visit on the 7th (Tue): explore the world behind art at Rijksmuseum, take an in-depth tour of Anne Frank House, then contemplate the long history of Begijnhof, and finally contemplate the waterfront views at Herengracht. Debrecen is the second largest city in Hungary after Budapest. Step off the beaten path and head to Hortobagy National Park and Museum of the Reformed College of Debrecen. Appreciate the collections at Deri Museum and Agora Science Center. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Debrecen: Co-cathedral of Our Lady of the Hungarians (in Nyiregyhaza) and Andrassy Castle (in Tiszadob).
