Breckenridge

Founded in 1859 as part of the Gold Rush in the Rockies, Breckenridge boasts a main street lined with colorful wooden storefronts housing cafes and shops, giving the effect of a thriving western town from the 19th century.
Start off your visit on the 15th (Mon): relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, then trek along McCullough Gulch, and then admire all the interesting features of Boreas Pass Road. Keep things going the next day: see what you can catch with a fishing tour, then stroll through Booth Falls Trail, and then explore the landscape on two wheels at Vail Recreation Path.
