Easily accessible from both Whistler and Vancouver, little Squamish sits in the middle of one of Canada's scenic natural areas, affectionately called the "Sea to Sky Country." A vacation in Squamish provides the perfect opportunity to try a range of outdoor activities, so it's not surprising the town calls itself the "Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada." Visitors get their dose of adrenaline by rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, golfing, whitewater rafting, or kite surfing in the area.
Kick off your visit on the 13th (Mon): hike along Smoke Bluffs Park, thenwalk around Stawamus Chief Park, thenexplore the striking landscape of Shannon Falls Provincial Park, and finally play a few rounds at Squamish Valley Golf & Country Club. Get outdoors at The Whistler Train Wreck Trail and Alexander Falls. Step off the beaten path and head to Joffre Lakes Provincial Park and Duffy Lake Road. Get out of town with these interesting Whistler side-trips: Pemberton (Parasailing & Paragliding, Horseback Riding Tours, &more). There's lots more to do: tee off at Whistler Golf Club, let little ones run wild at Whistler Olympic Plaza, fly down the slopes at Peak to Creek, and hike along Cheakamus Lake Trail.
