Once the capital of Dutch Brazil, Recife has a history spanning back to 1537, when it was little more than a handful of fishing houses on the beach.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Se Cathedral as well as CAIXA Cultural Recife. Kick off your visit on the 17th (Thu): examine the collection at Fundacao Joaquim Nabuco, examine the collection at Oficina Ceramica Francisco Brennand, then examine the collection at Ricardo Brennand Institute, then stroll through Coroa do Aviao Beach, and finally see a show at CAIXA Cultural Recife.
