Kuta

— 10 nights
Formerly a sleepy fishing village, the beach resort town of Kuta now represents one of Indonesia's most popular tourist destinations.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Balangan Beach and Blue Point Beach. For shopping fun, head to Samasta Lifestyle Village or Five Art Studio. Venture out of the city with trips to Pecatu (Uluwatu Temple & Bingin Beach), Tanah Lot Temple (in Beraban) and Saraswati Temple (in Ubud). There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Kuta Beach - Bali, take in the exciting artwork at Nacivet Art Gallery, explore the world behind art at Museum PASIFIKA, and enjoy the sand and surf at Pantai Sanur.

To find reviews, where to stay, other places to visit, and other tourist information, you can read our Kuta travel planner.

Vancouver, Canada to Kuta is an approximately 21.5-hour flight. The time zone difference moving from Pacific Standard Time (PST) to Central Indonesia Time (WITA) is 16 hours. Traveling from Vancouver in June, expect nights in Kuta to be much hotter, around 29°C, while days are a bit warmer, around 35°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 18th (Fri) early enough to fly back home.

Island of the Gods
A province of Indonesia, the island of Bali remains one of the world's top tourist destinations thanks to its beaches, diving spots, and resorts. Take a trip to Bali to discover the island's smiling and famously hospitable locals--perhaps the biggest treasure of this tropical paradise. More than just another fun-in-the-sun getaway, Bali also reveals a rich history and varied geography of mountains, rugged coastal areas, sandy beaches, thriving rice terraces, and stark volcanic hillsides that seem transported from another planet. A Bali tour uncovers some of the world's best surfing spots, as well as a deeply spiritual local culture and globally significant archeological attractions.
