Zadar

— 10 nights
Situated along the Adriatic Sea, Zadar preserves a medieval old town that is entirely contained on a peninsula.
Kids will appreciate attractions like The Forum and Paseo Maritimo. Discover out-of-the-way places like Zadar Cathedral and Narodni trg u Zadru. Get out of town with these interesting Zadar side-trips: Split (Walking tours, Froggyland, &more), Simuni Beach (in Simuni) and Modric Cave (in Rovanjska). Spend the 2nd (Mon) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. The adventure continues: kick back and relax at Podvrske Beach, identify plant and animal life at Sokolarski Raptor Centre, take in the architecture and atmosphere at The Church of the Holy Cross, and zoom along the surf with a waterskiing or jet-skiing adventure.

To see maps, more things to do, reviews, and tourist information, you can read our Zadar vacation planner.

If you are flying in from Germany, the closest major aiports are Zadar Airport, Split Airport and Pula Airport. In July, daytime highs in Zadar are 36°C, while nighttime lows are 20°C.
