Step out of Perth with an excursion to Fremantle Prison in Fremantle--about 32 minutes away. A low-rise, laid-back town of approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Margaret River serves as an ideal local base to explore the surrounding wine region.
On the 25th (Mon), add some adventure to your tour with a kayaking and canoeing tour, take in the waterfront at Busselton Jetty, and then explore the galleries of Tracie Anderson Ceramics. On the 26th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: explore the fascinating underground world of Lake Cave, Head underground at Mammoth Cave, and then learn the secrets of beer at a beer tour and tasting.

Founded as a military outpostĀ in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Start off your visit on the 27th (Wed): take in the dramatic natural features at Elephant Rocks, kick back and relax at Greens Pool, thenlearn about winemaking at Singlefile Wines, and finally make a trip to Convoy Lookout. Keep things going the next day: enjoy the sand and surf at Little Beach, take some stellar pictures from Rotary Lookout Albany, thensee the interesting displays at National Anzac Centre, thenexplore the striking landscape at The Gap and Natural Bridge, and finally get great views at Sharp Point.

Exmouth

Exmouth is a town on the tip of the North West Cape in Western Australia. On the 29th (Fri), take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports and then relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas. On your second day here, see the vivid underwater world at Ningaloo Reef, see some colorful creatures with Turquoise Bay, and then explore the activities along Yardie Creek.

Traveling by flight from Albany to Exmouth takes 8 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Albany in May: high temperatures in Exmouth hover around °C and lows are around °C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 31st (Sun) to allow time to travel back home.
