One of the hippest urban centers in the northeastern part of the country, Newcastle upon Tyne once had a reputation for being an industrial wasteland with little to offer casual tourists.

World Heritage-listed Edinburgh combines ancient and modern in a uniquely Scottish atmosphere.
On the 21st (Sat), explore the historical opulence of Edinburgh Castle, then sample the fine beverages at The Scotch Whisky Experience, then see the interesting displays at Royal Yacht Britannia, and finally take in the dramatic natural features at Arthur's Seat. Glencoe

Glencoe or Glencoe Village is the main settlement in Glen Coe in the Lochaber area of the Scottish Highlands. On the 26th (Thu), identify plant and animal life at Glen Etive, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at The Three Sisters, then step into the grandiose world of Kilchurn Castle, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Glenorchy Parish Church.
