Inverness, often described as the Gateway to the Highlands, is a thriving commercial and industrial center.
Kick off your visit on the 11th (Sun): step into the grandiose world of Fort George, then see the interesting displays at Highland Folk Museum, and then look for all kinds of wild species at RZSS Highland Wildlife Park. Here are some ideas for day two: take in nature's colorful creations at Cawdor Castle, then look for all kinds of wild species at Aigas Field Centre, and then steep yourself in history at Fort Augustus.
