Durness
Durness is a village and civil parish in the north-west Highlands of Scotland. Start off your visit on the 4th (Wed): take in the exciting artwork at Balnakeil Craft Village, stroll through Sandwood Bay Beach, and then kick back and relax at Balnakeil Beach. Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. On the 7th (Sat), pause for some photo ops at Commando Monument, take in the dramatic scenery at Steall Waterfall, and then see the sights as you ascend with a climbing tour.
