Aglientu is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Sassari in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 210km north of Cagliari and about 35km northwest of Olbia.Aglientu borders the following municipalities: Aggius, Luogosanto, Santa Teresa Gallura, Tempio Pausania, Trinità d'Agultu e Vignola.In 2005 hosted the Kitesurf World Cup; it is home to the Festa del Turista ("Tourist's Feast"). You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Spiaggia Rena Majore and Torre Vignola e Chiesetta di San Silverio. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Naracu Nieddu Beach and Cala Pischina. Change things up with these side-trips from Aglientu: Spiaggia La Marinedda (in Isola Rossa), Spiaggia Li Mindi (in Badesi) and Chiesa di San Trano (in Luogosanto).
