You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Universal Studios Japan and Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. Venture out of the city with trips to Kiyomizu-dera Temple (in Higashiyama) and Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine (in Fushimi). Next up on the itinerary: step into the grandiose world of Osaka Castle, take a stroll through Dotonbori, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Senko-ji Temple, and see the interesting displays at Osaka Shiritsu Toyo Toji Museum.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Osaka is an approximately 10.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of flight and bus. The time zone difference when traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Osaka is 1 hour. In July in Osaka, expect temperatures between 37°C during the day and 28°C at night. On the 21st (Tue), take in nature's colorful creations at Kobe Oji Zoo, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Kobe Animal Kingdom, and then stroll through Suma Beach. On the 22nd (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: admire nature's wide array of creatures at Suma Aqualife Park Kobe, make a trip to Awaji Highway Oasis, then get great views at Awaji Hanasajiki, and finally shop like a local with Nankinmachi (Kobe Chinatown).

Kobe is just a short distance from Osaka. When traveling from Osaka in July, plan for little chillier days in Kobe, with highs around 33°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 29°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Wed) early enough to take a train to Hiroshima.

Kick off your visit on the 23rd (Thu): contemplate the long history of Takashima Steamlined Gun, take in nature's colorful creations at Glover Garden, stroll around Nagasaki Peace Park, then get engrossed in the history at Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, then examine the collection at Nagasaki Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims, and finally take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Inasa. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: step off the mainland to explore Hashima Island, stroll the grounds of Grave of Shunkansozu, and then get to know the resident critters at Nagasaki Bio Park.

The largest city on the island, Fukuoka formed through the merger of two former cities that had grown up either side of the Naka River.
Start off your visit on the 25th (Sat): let the kids burn off some steam at Ohori Park, take in the spiritual surroundings of Dazaifu Temmangu, then meet the residents at Marine World umino-nakamichi, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Kushida Shrine.
