Vatican Museums and Galleria Borghese will appeal to museum buffs. Colosseum and St. Peter's Basilica are good opportunities to explore the local culture. When in Rome, make a side trip to see Villa Adriana in Tivoli, approximately Tivoli away. Next up on the itinerary: delve into the distant past at Palatine Hill, ponder the design of Trevi Fountain, make a trip to Roman Forum, and stroll the grounds of Catacombs of Saint Callixtus.
