In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
On the 6th (Tue), appreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza del Duomo and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Milano. Keep things going the next day: get lost in a book at Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, get engrossed in the history at Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio, then step into the grandiose world of Castello Sforzesco, and finally admire the striking features of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

Paris, France to Milan is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also take a train; or drive. Traveling from Paris in August, expect Milan to be somewhat warmer, temps between 34°C and 22°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 7th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Bergamo.
