On the 21st (Sun), get outside with Inosawa Ski Resort, get outside with Asahiyama Yuki no Mura, admire nature's wide array of creatures at Asahiyama Zoo, then stroll through Asahiyama Park, and finally get in on the family fun at Asahikawa Ramen Village. Here are some ideas for day two: don't miss a visit to Asahikawa Station, make a trip to Kibana no Mori, then admire the sheer force of Shirahige Falls, then contemplate the waterfront views at Shirogane Blue Pond, and finally make a trip to Christmas Tree no Ki.

You can drive from Sapporo to Asahikawa in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. A gateway to the island, Hakodate has gained a reputation for its waterfront attractions, its proximity to some of the island's most popular natural sites, and its seafood.
Start off your visit on the 23rd (Tue): take in the pleasant sights at Ono River Cherry Blossom Avenue, enjoy breathtaking views from Goryokaku Tower, admire the striking features of Goryokaku Park, then stop by Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, and finally make a trip to Hachimanzaka.

Traveling from Asahikawa in February, you will find days in Hakodate are somewhat warmer (1°C), and nights are about the same (-5°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Tue) to allow enough time to travel to Niseko-cho.
