The state's commercial, if not political hub, Ahmedabad stands as a sprawling metropolis with some important historical sites.
Step out of Ahmedabad to go to Gandhinagar and see Akshardham, which is approximately 52 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: contemplate the long history of Sabarmati Ashram / Mahatma Gandhi's Home, admire the landmark architecture of Adalaj Stepwell, take in the waterfront at Sabarmati Riverfront, and make a trip to Sidi Saeed Mosque.

Way out west, the small city of Dwarka has a long history of pilgrimage, as a place central to Hindu mythology and belief.
Kick off your visit on the 8th (Thu): don't miss a visit to Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Dwarka, don't miss a visit to Shree Dwarkadhish Temple, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bhadkeshwar Mahadev Temple, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Rukshamanee Mandir. Established long ago as an important regional city, Bhuj has had to rebuild on several occasions due to devastating earthquakes destroying its temples, palaces, and residential areas.
Start off your visit on the 10th (Sat): stop by Traditional Rogan Art, explore the fascinating landscape at White Desert Of Kutch, and then get engrossed in the history at Sharad Baug Palace.
