Inverness, often described as the Gateway to the Highlands, is a thriving commercial and industrial center.
Start off your visit on the 23rd (Tue): take in the architecture and atmosphere at St Mary's Catholic Church, then take in the history at Battlefield Select Tours, then see what you can catch with a fishing tour, and finally race across the water with a speed boat tour. While traveling from Inverness, expect little chillier days and about the same nights in Isle of Skye, ranging from highs of 19°C to lows of 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Fort William.
